Permaculture regenerates natural resources and counteracts climate change by working with nature instead of against it. The permaculture principles are thus derived from nature's primeval forest, but are also used more indirectly in permaculture design.

It is a common vision for permaculture that the Earth should be reforested with food-producing forests, so that we can counteract climate change, increase biodiversity and feed the world.
The book insists that permaculture methods should be spread over large areas and that designs and implementation plans must be made for the conversion of entire bioregions and countries to permaculture. A progressive proposal for changed land use is given with calculations on diet, yield and carbon with a case that has converted an entire country to permaculture forestry - the type of agriculture that stores the most carbon the fastest, so that we as a society can tackle the climate crisis.

Everything is supported by photos from 90 permaculture projects, because the realization of permaculture as a response to the climate and biodiversity crisis is in full swing!

The book was published in Danish, Swedish and Norwegian in 2019 and in an expanded and revised edition in 2023 and has had a total sales of over 7300 copies.
