Reforest Farm was started on bare fields in the spring of 2016. Today, we have a large food forest (forest garden) with fruit, salad, and nut trees, layers of berry bushes, and perennial vegetables and herbs beneath them. We have self-feeding chicken forests where the chickens live in natural flocks. We also have a nut forest with walnuts and sweet chestnuts. Finally, we have established ponds and shelterbelts planted exclusively with native species to increase biodiversity.

At the centre of the permaculture farm stands our off-grid straw-bale house with a wastewater greenhouse and compost toilet.
